Tribhuvan University (TU), in collaboration with Gyeongsang National University (GNU) of the Republic of Korea, successfully organized a joint seminar titled "Prospects of Developing a Graduate Program on Entrepreneurship in Nepal" at the Kathmandu Center for Research and Education (KCRE), Kirtipur.

The event builds upon the longstanding partnership between the two prestigious institutions, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on January 9, 2019. This agreement encompasses multifaceted areas of cooperation, including faculty and student exchanges, joint research initiatives, and the launch of innovative academic programs.

In his welcoming address, Prof. Dr. Khadga K.C., Rector of Tribhuvan University, underscored the institution's formidable strengths in teaching and research. He highlighted TU's proactive commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, particularly through the establishment of the Tribhuvan University Business Incubation Center (TUBIC), and expressed strong enthusiasm for advancing entrepreneurial education and ecosystem development in Nepal.

The seminar drew enthusiastic participation from over 40 aspiring young students and emerging entrepreneurs.

H.E. Park Tae-young, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, delivered an inspiring keynote, attributing Korea's remarkable economic transformation to the synergistic integration of education and entrepreneurship (E2). Drawing from Korea's developmental experience, he motivated the attendees—many affiliated with TUBIC—by sharing compelling success stories of Korean-returnee entrepreneurs who have established thriving ventures in Nepal.

Prof. Dr. Tara Prasad Bhusal, Director of TUBIC, presented a comprehensive overview of initiatives in innovation, startups, and entrepreneurship currently underway in Nepal. Complementing this, Prof. Dr. Park Sanghyeok from Gyeongsang National University delivered an insightful presentation on best practices in operating graduate-level entrepreneurship programs at GNU, while exploring promising avenues for deeper collaboration with Tribhuvan University. The seminar served as a vital platform for knowledge exchange and strategic dialogue aimed at designing advanced graduate curricula tailored to Nepal's evolving entrepreneurial landscape.

Prof. Dr. Vishnu Prasad Pandey, Executive Director of the Centre for International Relations at Tribhuvan University, played an instrumental role in facilitating and strengthening ties between the two universities. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Pramod Paudel, Deputy Director of TUBIC, who expressed gratitude to all participants, speakers, and dignitaries for their valuable contributions. This collaborative initiative reflects a shared vision to cultivate a robust, innovation-driven entrepreneurial culture in Nepal through international academic partnerships and advanced graduate education.
