Tribhuvan University: Student Welfare and Sports Directorate

Tribhuvan University (TU) has established the Student Welfare and Sports Directorate to focus on students' welfare, sports, and cultural and social activities. The primary aim of this Directorate is to enhance the physical and intellectual development of students.

Objectives

1. Annual Planning and Implementation

   • Develop and implement annual plans focusing on extracurricular activities for students.

2. Training, Seminars, and Workshops

   • Organize training sessions, seminars, and workshops related to extracurricular activities and student welfare.

3. Sports Activities

   • Conduct sports programs on all TU campuses across Nepal.
   • Facilitate participation in international sports events.

4. University Sports Teams

   • Form and train the Tribhuvan University sports team for participation in national and international university games.

5. Student Relations

   • Foster a strong and cooperative relationship between TU and central student associations/organizations.

6. Secretariat Role

   • Function as the Secretariat for the Central Student and Welfare Council of Tribhuvan University.

7. Global and National Partnerships

   • Build partnerships with foreign and domestic universities, sports-related organizations in Nepal, and international university sports bodies.
   • Initiate student exchange and sports programs.

8. Sports Development in Campuses

   • Provide skilled trainers and coaches to TU campuses for the advancement of sports.

9. Student Welfare Committees

   • Activate and support Student Welfare Committees and Welfare Chiefs at all campuses, ensuring they adhere to the Directorate's advice and directives.

10. Student Elections

• Offer effective guidelines to manage student elections across all TU campuses.
