The General Administration Division is a key division under the Registrar’s Office at Tribhuvan University. This division is headed by the Division Chief and consists of several major units, including:

  • Internal Administration
  • Procurement
  • Construction and Maintenance
  • Store Management
  • Transportation
  • Security
  • Meetings and Events
  • Property Management
  • Main Registration and Dispatch

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain records of properties belonging to different bodies under the division.
  2. Preserve and promote the university’s property.
  3. Manage land and buildings for rental or lease purposes.
  4. Maintain land boundaries and facilitate land registration processes.
  5. Handle sealed quotations and bids for construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of the central office as per TU regulations.
  6. Organize auctions for non-maintainable property and commodities.
  7. Supply stationery, furniture, and other materials required by various divisions and sections.
  8. Distribute centralized receipts, registers, and vouchers to different TU bodies.
  9. Audit physical properties and inspect the stores of TU entities.
  10. Manage transportation, including the purchase and maintenance of vehicles.
  11. Organize meetings, TU Day celebrations, and other events.
  12. Maintain staff attendance, personal records, and recommend necessary provisions for services.

The Division Head holds limited authority over cost estimation and tendering processes for construction and maintenance projects. In such cases, the division is responsible for initiating the process for obtaining pre-approval and necessary permissions.
