Fhewa Dialogue 2026 Held at Sichuan University in China

The "Fhewa Dialogue 2026" has been successfully concluded at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China. The event was jointly organized by Tribhuvan University and Sichuan University of China. The dialogue focused on extensive discussions of the development of South Asia, good governance, and climate change.A high-level delegation from Tribhuvan University participated in the event. Rector  Prof. Dr. Khadga K.C. and Registrar Prof. Dr. Kedar Prasad Rijal represented Tribhuvan University at the dialogue.

During the opening ceremony of the Fhewa Dialogue 2026, several prominent figures shared their views on the importance of the dialogue. They included Tribhuvan University Rector  Prof. Dr. Khadga K.C., Sichuan University Vice President Prof. Liu Cao, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Zhang Maoming, Nepal’s former Ambassador to China Leelamani Poudyal, Counselor Chen Wei from the South Asia Department of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya.

Dr. Bishwo Nath Paudel, Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank, addressed the dialogue via online. The event also featured insightful contributions from a distinguished group of experts and scholars, including Prof. Rong Ying from the China Center for South Asian Studies at Sichuan University, Prof. Dai Yonghong from Shenzhen University, Dr. Aneel Salman from the Islamabad Policy Research Institute, Prof. Lou Chunho from the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), Prof. Mahendra P. Lama from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Prof. Zhang Jiadong from Fudan University, Prof. Lan Jianxue from the China Institute of International Studies, Prof. Jiang Yili (former senior diplomat from China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Prof. Syed Hussain Shaheed Soherwordi from the University of Peshawar, Prof. Liu Zongyi from the Shanghai Institute of International Studies, Dr. Hu Xiaowen from Yunnan University, Prof. Chen Lijung from the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, Prof. Wang Xu from Peking University, Dr. Khalid Taimur Akram from Communication University of China, Prof. Dai Zhongde from Sichuan University, Prof. Purna Bahadur Chhetri from Royal Thimphu College, Bhutan (online), Dr. Passang Dorji from Sichuan International Studies University, Dr. Mao Keji, Mr. Foqoruddin Al Kabir from the Centre for Policy Dialogue, Bangladesh, and many other scholars and researchers. They actively participated in important discussions on key regional issues.
