Tribhuvan University, Central Department of Hydrology and Meteorology and Kathmandu Center for Research and Education,CAS-TU (KCRE) has jointly organized Capacity Building Training program on "Data Analysis and Scientific Paper Writing." The training program was developed to enhancing research capabilities and fostering academic excellence of University's faculties.
The program was graced by the esteemed presence of several distinguished personalities who have made remarkable contributions to the field of Scientific development research in Nepal and beyond.
Prof. Dr. Keshar Jung Baral, Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University as a chief guest inaugurated the training Program and emphasized the crucial role of data analysis and effective scientific paper writing in advancing knowledge and addressing contemporary challenges. He acknowledged the Central Department of Hydrology and Meteorology for taking this initiative and underscored the importance of such programs in shaping the future of academia. He urged the participant to used training in order to acquired skills and knowledge. He also express his commitment to providing world-class education and research opportunities to its students and faculty express as well as optimism that this training program would yield profound results in nurturing research talent.
Prof.Dr. Binil Aryal, Dean, Institute of Science and Technology (IOST) stated that the central role of data analysis and scientific writing in research, expressing the importance of such training programs in contributing significantly to research endeavors. He stressed that such initiatives aim to publish articles in national and international journals and foster overall intellectual development.
Prof. Dr. Baiqing XU, Deputy Director, Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research Chinese Academy of Sciences and Director of Kathmandu Center for Research and Education (KCRE) said via online that KCRE was aimed at fostering significant collaboration in scientific research and education between the two countries. He told that KCRE had been actively involved in providing essential support for the overall scientific development of the Tribhuvan University , including funding for young researchers, organizing various training programs, and supporting scientific conferences. Prof. Dr. Baiqing Xu expressed his keen interest on Scientific research and international collaboration.
Prof.Dr.Deepak Aryal, Department Chief, Central Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (CDHM) highlighted the continuous involvement of the his department in various national/international collaborations, organizing scientific conferences, workshops, and educational programs, while giving priority to the professional development and capacity building of young assistant professors. He also expressed to conduct more training in days to come.
Dr.Binod Dawadi,Associate Prof of CDHM and Deputy Director of KCRE briefly stated that Capacity Building Training on "Data Analysis and Scientific Paper Writing" is expected to equip scholars, researchers, and students with essential skills and knowledge to navigate the intricacies of data analysis and effective scientific communication. Through a series of workshops, lectures, and hands-on training sessions, participants will gain valuable insights into research methodologies and scholarly writing, fostering a culture of academic excellence at Tribhuvan University.
