Call for Applications – Erasmus+ Scholarship for PhD Students

The Centre for International Relations (CIR), Tribhuvan University, is pleased to announce a call for applications for a fully funded Erasmus+ mobility opportunity under the Erasmus+ KA171 programme in collaboration with the University of Turin (UniTO), Italy.

This scholarship is available for one PhD student currently enrolled at the Central Department of Geology, Tribhuvan University, to undertake a 2-month mobility in Italy during the academic period ending no later than 31 July 2026.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be regularly enrolled in a PhD programme at the Central Department of Geology, TU.
• Must have minimum research experience in structural geology and petrology.
• Must have proficiency in English, preferably with an academic background in the English medium.

Financial Support Includes:

• Monthly stipend of €850.00.
• Travel support of €820.00.
• Additional support of €250.00 for visa, health insurance, and residence permit.
• Extra top-up of €250.00/month for selected candidates with fewer opportunities.

• A recent CV.
• A study/traineeship/research project proposal.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be evaluated based on academic merit, research relevance, language proficiency, motivation, and socio-economic background. Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview.
