Message from the Vice-Chancellor
It is a privilege for me to serve as Tribhuvan University's (TU) 20thvice chancellor. TU has a glorious history in Nepal's higher education. Although Nepal embraced the multi-university concept over forty years ago, TU still holds more than seventy-five percent of higher education in the country (both in terms of government funding and student enrollment), with its constituent and affiliated campuses/colleges spread across 76 districts. It is currently in the reform and consolidation phase.
New academic programs must be introduced and the curricula of existing programs be revised to fulfill the demands for ever changing national and international labor markets. TU has the great challenges to manage the human resources and mobilize the internal and external resources required for quality higher education compatible with the needs of labor market.Among these difficulties, my team's goal is to continue TU's reform and consolidation process. I kindly ask for your support in order to complete TU's reform and consolidation process and make TU a source of great pride for all of us.
