The Central Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at Tribhuvan University has honored its students who have successfully Completed PhD degrees and been recommended for officer positions in Nepal's foreign service, administrative and law under the Government of Nepal.
Madhusudan Bhattarai and Pooja Belbase,students from the Central Department of International Relations and Diplomacy were recommended for Under Secretary in the Foreign Service. Similarly Arpan Sapkota, Rasila Dhamala, Divyadip Acharya, Milan Bishwakarma, and Arjun Limbu Banem for Officer in the Foreign Service, Ejusha Rai for Administrative and Shreshna Mahat for law officer . Hari Prakash Chand and Binod Khand Timsina were honored for their PhD Degree .
Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel, who is a PhD researcher at the Central Department of International Relations and Diplomacy was the chief guest of the events. While Minister Kharel stated that parents and teachers are the primary guides to success. Having completed a Master's in Mass Communication, he mentioned that he pursued a PhD in International Relations and Diplomacy due to the motivation and encouragement from his PhD supervisor, Prof. Dr. Khadga KC, the Rector Tribhuvan University. He also expressed his commitment to never engaging in wrongdoing and to upholding the dignity of the government at a high level.
In the program, Prof. Dr. Khadga KC,Rector of Tribhuvan University, expressed the view that students from the Central Department of International Relations and Diplomacy have been continuously achieving success in public service; the department has highly diligent and top-tier students from all sectors and classes studying there; and the focus is not only on preparing them for public service but also on building dynamic personalities equipped with critical awareness.
The honor program saw the participation of former Foreign Secretary Shankardas Bairagi, former Foreign Secretary and Ambassador Gyan Chandra Acharya, former Ambassador Dr. Khaganath Adhikari, former Lieutenant General Dr. Purna Bahadur Silwal, Head of the Central Department of International Relations and Diplomacy Apekshya Shah, as well as PhD Program Coordinator Dr. Ramesh Chandra Paudel, and other students.
